I had taken a fall in the shower helping my Mom at the nursing home and hurt my back. Over the last several years, I have had overwhelming fatigue which had taken away a lot of my life because I couldn't get out of the house.  I was lying on the couch all the time watching TV.  Last year, after volunteering at an elephant sanctuary for 1 day in which I was clearing out vegetation with a large pair of pruners, I developed unbearable chest and sternum pain.  I was hospitalized for 2 days. I had a heart catheterization, 2 cardiac ultrasounds, and wore a heart monitor for 30 days. In the end, they diagnosed me with sternum pain and rib pain and put me on anti-inflammatories twice a day.

5 weeks ago I came to see Dr. Gibson.  She uses KST (Koren Specific Technique) to adjust me. She usually adjusts me in the standing position and there is no popping of joints.  Since beginning treatment, I have lost 12 pounds, without changing anything in my life.  I'm not taking any anti-inflammatories. There is no papin in my body anywhere and I have the physical energy to get up and go places and do things.

Pain Free

Have you ever had pain, rally bad pain? I recently had pain in my left hip that was so bad I would have tried anything to get relief.  The pain started suddenly and progressed to a point that I couldn't sleep or walk without pain. 

I tried applying heat, cold, and over the counter medication to no avail.  I then went to Dr. Jean Gibson for treatment. Dr. Jean suggested Laser therapy to the hip and leg.

The Laser treatment was non-invasive and took about thirty minutes.  Initially the treatment relieved the pain for about three hours.  The second Laser treatment relieved the pain for about four days but the pain was less intense and I only had trouble at night. The third treatment a week later, really surprised me because the rest of the discomfort went away over two or three days.

I am now pain free for the first time in over a month. I would recommend anyone who is having pain to see Dr. Jean Gibson for possible Laser Therapy.

In June 2011, my three year old daughter became seriously ill. She was in chronic, debilitating pain; she would scream in agony until she wet her pants. Before, she had been an energetic, outgoing girl, but the illness sapped her of what made her "her".  She would lay listless in my lap for hours just having her tummy rubbed. We had to sleep together, what little sleep we got. Neither of us were getting more that 3 or 4 hours of sleep a night because of her overwhelming pain. The only two things that helped were ibuprofen and steroids, neither of which you want to take very much of, especially when you are that young. At one point, she was on a rotation of meds that were given every 3 hours around the clock, and even then, her pain was barely tolerable. She went to the emergency room once because the pain was so severe.  The trip did nothing but make her terrified of needles and hospitals. Our doctor was at a complete loss and sent us to the children's hospital in Little Rock after we saw an allergist in northwest Arkansas. None of them were helpful. No one had any answers. 

I have suffered from severe food allergies my whole life.  I tried food avoidance and antihistamines but they didn't help  I was referred to Dr. Gibson to try Neurological Stress Reduction Therapy.  Before the laser treatments, my life was severely limited by my food allergies and I had very high anxiety when eating out or traveling. I would get incredibly sick at the slightest exposure. Now, I can eat at many more places without fear, and I have not had a single major allergic reaction since completing the treatments.  This therapy has truly changed my life and given me back a quality of life I never thought I would enjoy again!

Koren Specific Technique

I have been suffering from constant, severe low back pain for over a year.  I took pain pills but they did not help. Chiropractic and NSRT

I was about to go shopping for a fashionable cane (bad hip and knee) when I decided to ask co-workers about a chiropractor. Dr. Jean was mentioned by everyone quizzed. Not only have my hip and knee improved greatly (better movement with much less pain), I have increased energy and lower stress due to state-of-the-art chiropractic care, acupuncture and and NSRT (neurological stress reduction therapy). Allergies

 I have suffered from allergies for the last 20 years.  I have tried allergy shots, over the counter pills, sprays, everything and nothing worked long term.  So, I decided to try Dr. Gibson’s Stress Reduction Therapy. I consider the treatment very successful because I no longer take any (as in none) medication for my allergies and my last treatment was over a month ago.  I sleep better and in general, feel better.  I would highly recommend this therapy for anyone with allergies.

Depression and Fatigue

About 5 years ago, I got depressed and felt tired and draggy all the time. Dr. Gibson helped me feel better with supplements and adjustments but I still didn’t feel good. After the first of this year, she told me about Neurological Stress Reduction Therapy. I decided to try it because I was desperate to feel better.

After the first treatment I had increased energy. I completed all 10 treatments and I’m happy to say I feel better than I have in years. I have more energy and a better outlook. I don’t have the constant post nasal drip any more. My eyes aren’t itchy and burning like they always were this time of year.  I’m so thankful Dr. Gibson learned about this new therapy. Facial Nerve Pain

Before Acupuncture, I had difficulty chewing food without pain. I couldn't keep dental appointments due to pain. I couldn't bend down, talk, sleep on my side, sip from a straw, kiss, swallow, put on makeup or brush my teeth without pain.  I couldn't even have a fan blow in my face, and I couldn't go into the cold without pain.  I tried tegretol as well as other medications, but they left me half drowsy, and a mouth guard at night brought me some relief while sleeping, but did nothing during the day.

After Acupuncture, I feel like normal.  This is no pain in everyday living like walking in cold wind, drinking, sipping through a straw, or biting into an apple. Makeup application is enjoyable.  Movement does not bring on any pain.  I am pain medication free.  My vocation as a teacher is a joy now!  I can sleep well on my back or my side!  I have more confidence that pain is not going to control my life.  I do not have to remember medication regiments.  I can go out, pray aloud and enjoy a delicious meal with loved ones.  Walking, talking, eating, working, driving with the air on are now a part of my normal, pain free life.

Smoking Cessation

Acupuncture

Tennis Elbow

Tom is an avid tennis player who plays four to five times a week.  He suffered with severe elbow pain for eighteen months before he saw Dr. Gibson.  Previously, he had received six cortisone shots in the elbow.  The shots would help for a period of two to three weeks then he would have to get another shot.  Tom found that after each acupuncture treatment his symptoms were improving.  After just five treatments, Tom said it was "just amazing". 

I have been treated by Dr. Gibson for eggs, dairy, sugars, and wheat.  I am now able to eat these foods with no problem.

Previous to my treatments of these foods, when I ate them I would have flu-like symptoms anywhere from one to four days, including extreme fatigue, muscle and joint aches and pains, and itchy and teary eyes and a runny nose.  It is so nice to be able to eat these foods again with no problem. Fibromyalgia

Shonet was at work one day when she stood up only to suddenly experience "the worst pain of my life". Two of her co-workers had to carry her to her car, and for weeks her mother had to take care of her.  Shonet was unable to feed herself and stated that pain was a 9 out of a 10. Shonet had a few sessions of hands-on adjustments and was able to resume her normal life. She also had been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 11 years earlier, so Dr. Gibson recommended acupuncture.  Shonet was terrified of needles, but decided to try acupuncture, and after 3 weeks she was ablet o drastically reduce the amount of medication she had been on for 10 years. Today, she is able to live her life relatively pain free and attributes her good health to Dr. Gibson.

My name is Tallie; I am a patient of Dr. Jean Gibson.In 2002, I was having lower back pain causing difficulty when walking and sleepless nights.  I called Gibson Chiropractic for an appointment after reading a column in the newspaper about back pain. Dr. Jean Gibson did an evaluation of my back pain which included an x-ray of the spine and locating the area giving me problems.  The treatment consisted of spinal adjustment and trigger point therapy for the back muscles. The treatments over several visits alleviated the pain and I felt much better.  i continued to seek periodic treatment over the next eight years for shoulder pain, knee strain, and pulled muscles. Recently I began to have pain in my right hand.  The pain was in my fingers and thumb joint.  The pain really restricted hwat activities I could do, such as gardening, golf and crafts.  Dr. Jean began acupuncture treatments along with massage and other chiropractic techniques.  Several treatments later the pain was reduced and the thumb movement was close to normal.  I can now continue to enjoy my many activities.

I will continue to see Dr. Jean on a regular basis to keep my body and joints working so I can enjoy an active life style.  This means Dr. Jean you can’t retire anytime soon!

Colonics

 “Before I came I had a lot of things that were bothering me. I had become very irregular and got to the root of the problem here (BioVeda of Fayetteville) and found out what was causing it – I shouldn’t have taken laxatives and all those things.

Stress Reduction Therapy

Since I have been treated with Neurological Stress Reduction Therapy, my life has changed in many ways. I no longer have to constantly carry allergy medicine because I don't need it. I no longer feel run down all the time like I used to from allergies. It's amazing how much better I can breathe through my nose.  My eustachian tubes in my ears no longer fill up like they did before treatment. I can go to fairs, camping, etc without having my ears, throat, and eyes be affected with allergies. I am able to be around smokers without it causing my allergies to be affected.  I sleep better. I am not affected by lactose or Ibuprofen any more. This therapy works great!  I highly recommend it.
